Galahs Feeding by ubobohobo

Galahs Feeding

Early morning at the chook house door. As soon as the ducks, turkeys and hens move off in come the galahs for the tailings. they are usually joined by a flock of doves, a couple of cockatoos, a pigeon or two and any other grain feeder that decides to drop by. I took this photo early because I had a busy day ahead and to prove it I've had so many interruptions and phone calls it is now almost eleven before I have it posted. Hope you enjoy/ed your day.
Galahs are beautiful. I have seen a few in captivity but never in the wild.

I am sure if Galahs weren't so common and didn't have such a reputation, they would be considered a beautiful bird - which they are anyway

@cejaanderson Yes Jane I seldom go further than 200m from the house for my daily upload even after more than three years on this project. My daughter took your advice swooned over the Grand Canyon, visited the petrified forest and is in Albuquerque tonight.

The Grand Canyon must have been uniquely beautiful with the snow! What a singular and fortunate experience.

Beautiful birds. We don't have anything like that around here so I find them fascinating.
