The Mater Foundation is trying to raise $1 million to support Ovarian Cancer research. Our ladies bowls club did our little bit to help on Tuesday by adding some novelty fund raising events to our normal social bowls day. The fund raising event is called "Tea for Teal" and we enjoyed a high tea for afternoon tea and displayed our prettiest teapots among other things. The afternoon was quite successful and we now have $600 to send off to the Foundation. It is a cause dear to our hearts.
