As the house yard pet that doesn't mix with the other farmyard hens Goldie has always been allowed to sit on her last couple of eggs for a few days when she goes clucky. Then we throw the infertile eggs away and she resumes her house yard scratching. But Miss Goldie has strayed. She's obviously had a clandestine relationship with big Boris the Sussex rooster. She's very pleased with herself. Have I been that busy? Has she really been sitting for 21 days? The proof is there for all to see.
