There is a cloud over Christmas morning. Kelvin has been very ill for the past week and it looks as if it will be a Barby and Joan day for us. We were to travel to a daughter's place for Christmas dinner but I think he's still too sick to be able to cope with the day. We do enjoy our big family celebrations but maybe we'll have to miss this one. I'm up before sunrise checking heifers to ensure the safe arrival of their calves.
Beautiful photo that perfectly illustrates your sad story. I know from reading your next photo that you did indeed get to go to dinner, but still, it's not the same when one is sick, especially on a holiday.
Glad you made it in the end! It's not like just popping the other side of town either, would expect you journey would be harder them ours so well done Kevin! Rain too...a perfect day!
