Wow! I’m blown away. Just received word I’ve been awarded the Gladstone Regional Council’s Australia Day Citizen of the Year Award for 2016. Thanks to the GRC for the award and the Discovery Centre crew for my nomination. We’ve been out of internet range while on course from the Maldives to the Seychelles but having a great Australia Day on Sun Princess – deck party till midnight last night, Australian music all over the ship today, pie eating contest, face painting, thong throwing, games in the pool , a two up game, an aussie BBQ like you’ve never seen before and it’s only lunch time yet. Happy Australia Day to all Aussies where ever you are!!!
Thats a tremendous achievement, Margaret! Congratulations! Funny - here in NZ we wouldn't have realised Australia Day even existed! Trouble with cruise ships - got to have a large stomach!
