Gum Trees Stripping by ubobohobo

Gum Trees Stripping

Australian author, Judith Wright, wrote a poem with this title which I studied as a student. It always intrigues me when the "stripping" season rolls around that snippets of the poem still spring to mind. This is a huge old gum tree, loved by birds who need its deep hollows for nesting and by me.
Gum trees always have something to show or tell, their bark ,their trunk or their branches are so enchanting.

I never knew what this meant. Very cool to finally see it in a tree going through the process.
