Oscar Wilde is quoted as saying, "If one cannot enjoy a book over and over again, there is no use in reading it at all." I have a wonderful collection of children's books gathered over the years -books that I have read over and over again. Now out of the classroom I'm still sharing them with the great grandchildren. Some are showing the signs of wear but I can't throw them out. They have become beloved friend and arose memories of children, long grown up, who had special affinities with individual books.
I love books too. There are some of my favourites there that I read to my kids - The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and The Waterhole. It brings back lovely memories just seeing the covers.
