Many Hands Make Light Work

Gladstone Midday Rotary Club, Gladstone Regional Council and local community members joined forces to plant trees on the newly restored Nagoorin Cemetery. Their efforts not only beautify the heritage listed cemetery but also support the council's efforts to boost the numbers of the very rare Yarwun Whitewood tree (close up of leaves in left hand corner). Only two isolated populations of this tree are known to exist in the wild.

@janeandcharlie @ludwigsdiana @gilbertwood Yes I'm just hoping it works and the little trees which look so healthy now do survive. Its a pretty dry, hard old ridge.
