Why we need to destock by ubobohobo

Why we need to destock

This is how most of our paddocks look. Bare. Not a blade of grass. We have sold those animals that are in "better" condition and now have a nucleus of younger and/or weaker cattle which we are forced to hand feed. These are our weakest mob hurrying out behind the tractor that's carrying today's handout.

Thanks to everyone who offered comforting words in response to yesterday's upload - your comments warm the heart.
I learn a lot about ranching from your project.

So sorry to hear about the drought. I would love to send you some of the rain we are having. (way too much)
I am sure your numbers will be back up in a couple of years!

It's been so dry in your part of the world. I hope the drought breaks soon:)

Absolutely heartbreaking, many of our farmers are in the same situation since last year. We are all praying for rain.

Sad to see the dried up pasture land. Hope you get some much needed rain soon
