3. Gate - a Cocky Gate

This style of gate is very popular with farmers (cockies) being cheap and easy to build into a barbed wire fence. On the other hand it is quite tricky to open and a curse of the city visitor who often becomes the brunt of jokes when volunteering to open one.

That does look tricky & I'm used to farm gates & ways in....can’t quite see how this opens! You must unhook the wire somehow, I’ve seen large hook type fastenings, but this beats me.
