Americana

My american friends will be very familiar with this wagon as it is not just a toy but a classic piece of Americana.

The Little Red Wagon was first built in 1917 by a young Italian immigrant in Chicago. Though most of the wagons are now made in China the company's head quarters are still in Chicago (not far from where I live). This not so little red wagon is in the front of their building. It is 27ft long and 13ft wide and was built to celebrate its 80th anniversary.
Great shot you made it look huge

@pittcj17 Thanks Cindy. No skills or tricks needed, it is massive. Unfortunately it is behind a fence otherwise I would have got my daughter to stand beside it to give some comparison.

@justkariherself Thank you Kari!

Did not know any of this, so very interesting. I at first thought it was in front of a school, but your explanation cleared things up. Great bright photo with the blue sky and the red wagon.

Nice shot! It is an American icon. They were very popular when I was a kid. It's nice to see they're still going strong today.

What a cool capture! Great perspective. I have one in my back garden...using it as a "planter" for succulents. Love this!

No, I have never seen one before but it looks like a great traditional toy. Love the colours, nice shot.

Looks like such fun - less so for the person dragging the kids along in the wagon! Shame we didn't have these in the UK. Love the huge replica, I imagine it looks even bigger in real life!
