These are the seats at the Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park in Chicago. In the summer it is the home to the Grant Park Symphony and Orchestra, with numerous free concerts. The area in a whole is fantastic, and though I have taken numerous photos of it, I have never posted any of them here as I have struggled to be able to translate how great it is with my limited skills. So instead I have decided to approach it on a smaller scale and then hopefully by next summer when it is opened fully for the season I will be able to do it some justice.
I am posting an alternate shot that is in color and at a wider angle in my extras album.
@mikekutz@pammac@ardor13 Thank you so much everyone. I spent a couple of hours downtown today and took a ton of shots, but this was the one that spoke to me the most so I really appreciate your wonderful comments.
So, first, fav! Love the composition and B&W with dark shadows! Second - I know what you mean, there are so many things I see that I don't quite know how to shot yet, you just pick up a little each day with the time you have!
@shailestha@livvy@cdh365@cljs@andy3168@newbank@candidzen Thanks so much every one I really appreciate your comments and favs on this, I liked it too,but I am never sure if others will think the same as me, so I have been overwhelmed with the response.
@taffy Thanks Taffy, you take so many great shots of the city, so I really appreciate that you liked this. Not that anyone really knows it is Chicago, as they are just empty seats.
I'm not sure how I missed this other than being really busy the last few days! I really like it - a lot! It's great in B&W. I like the pattern the seats make as well as your POV. FAV
Sad that the summer season is over (with the very dark nights now there is no denying winter is on the way!), but super shot! Perfect with no-one to be seen.
