Out of Business

My intentions for today was to get some shots of the Chicago River being dyed green for the St. Patrick's Day Parade, and as you can see it is definitely not that. I won't bore you with why not, but as we ended up passing this building four times I went with it as my shot for today. This is another shot that I think would be made better by some point of interest, but it is all I have for today, and I still quite like it!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
Too bad you missed the green but this is good too! I like the textures. It looks great in B&W!

It does look forlorn and abandoned. Very nice urban shot.

nice black & white. Could the wire be removed in PS, it's just a tad distracting - one quick swipe with the spot healing brush would do it. - sorry to be picky

What a great shot full of textures and lines! I like it a lot too - but the green river intrigues me. How and why would they do that?!?! I mean, I know - St. Patrick's day and all, but still....

The 'Available' sign is the point of interest after the faded sign on the roof. Both invite my eye to wander all over the image. I like it!

It is a piece of America. So many little dairy stores like this gone. The sky adds so much to this.

@isimo I had not thought of that, and I think you are correct. I will give it a go :)

Bummer you didn't capture the river. I've never been there when it's been died.

@bill_fe I have been here 20 years and have yet to see it, as they say there is always next year :)
