I braved the cold and snow today and headed to Chinatown for the New Year's Parade. It was a balmy 17 degrees (that is -8 Celsius to those outside the US), thankfully the parade was short. I was going to do this as selective color for the flash of red theme, but preferred it in color.
Thanks for all the love you gave my two shots yesterday. I hope everyone has had a great weekend. I will catch up with you all tomorrow!
Awesome! At first I thought this was a shot from Vancouver's parade but upon closer inspection the performers are dressed more puffy!!! Staying warm !! It was a balmy 11 degrees Celsius here!
Great shot! Impossible to get up to London early enough by train to see the parade there which starts at 10am (first train arrives 11am) . Trafalgar Square & Chinatown both packed to bursting. We gave up trying to get decent shots in the end and retired to the National Portraut Gallery. Love your picture!
This is fantastic, Andie! I love the red/yellow popping, and the smoke from the firecrackers lead drama to the scene. So interesting to contrast with the b&w version.
