I don't normally go for this kind of shot, they are too easy and don't tell much of a story other than every one likes taking selfies, it does not tell me much about them! That said I have been struggling with my camera recently so going with the best that I have at the moment!
I look at struggles as a learning experience, so don't take this as a woe is me post!
I thought they were dancing, specially with her leg and foot in that position. I also like the other people looking towards the camera. Learning is growth for me, sometimes I wonder why too.
It does tell a story... one of a narcissistic generation, but that story is really in the LHS. I'd cut out the rest so that was contrasted with the 50s look of the image.
What I like about this particular storyline is the way they are posing in an over the top position. As if to make clear to the world (they are already planning their post on FB or Snapchat or whatever) that they are two amazing people in an amazing setting. And then there's that oblivious crowd immune to selfie stick activity today! It works!
PS -- sitting in a hotel room in Marseille ... late checkout for our flight this afternoon. Amazing the two weeks are over! And you'll be heading out soon -- be safe!
@ukandie1 Some of us will be relieved! :-) It will be interesting to compare the X-T2 street shots with those of the X70. My impression so far is that the sneakiest candids are taken with the X70 but this could be my pre-conceived notion that the X70 is easier to shoot from the hip...?
