One Year with Finn #4 - I am not amused!

My husband and daughter decided they would give Finn a bath this weekend, let's say he tolerated the experience but was not particularly amused by it! I was hoping to get the obvious dog shaking shot with water spraying out to the side, but it will have to wait for another time, I have just changed my Fuji to back button focus and my muscle memory is not quite there. It is all a good experience. And for anyone worrying that we got his head wet, the moisture comes from a damp sponge, not from an all out head wash!

My daughter was with us when we chose Finn from the shelter (a Saturday), but she had to leave the next day (Sunday) to go back to her apartment and work, and has not been able to come home until this weekend. Even though three weeks have passed and Finn saw her for less than 48 hours initially, when she came home he was beside himself to see her again.

Once more I implore if you are considering a pet, please check out your local shelters, I am going to be saying this for the rest the year, and don't care if I repeat myself. There is so much need out there and the love they give is priceless!
He does look more than a little teed off - good one for Finn's family album. So glad you're delighted with him.

Loving the grumpy after bath look! Finlay is the same he doesn't like it but let's me do it. He loves being roughly towelled dry and then proceeds to rub himself along the carpets and the chairs to dry himself off! I am so pleased he has settled in so well with you! He can't believe his luck! Fav!

@vignouse Thank you Richard, I was thinking of going with something more picturesque, but thought this suited the theme perfectly!

@pamknowler thanks Pam, when my son came up with the name Finn, I thought no because of your Finlay, but they are so opposite think it is ok. They can be distant cousing...lol!

@pamknowler it was super warm outside so my kids took him for a walk. I wonder if given the opportunity...he would have done what Finlay does?

He definitely is a pup full of personality! I can't wait to meet him -- what a great advert he is for the power of pet adoption!

@taffy I am looking forward to you meeting him too! They have just re-opened the Unity Temple in Oak Park, looks fun to photograph. I see a Finn meet, some architectural photography and some lunch in our future!

@ukandie1 Love the idea!!! We will be in starting late on Sunday so I'll keep you posted on a meet for at least a catch-up at Skybridge! We'll be in town til Friday but in Evanston and looking for countertops, backsplashes, etc. I'm hoping for some open time between meetings with the workers/designers.

Great personality that Finn has, baths are never fun, now a big dirty pond would be more up his alley?
July 26th, 2017
@taffy the Oak Park meet up can wait until you are firmly ensconced at Skybridge, but it would be great to meet up prior to then, just send me an email even if it is just for a catch up chat!

@ukandie1 Will do!

@joysabin haha...thankfully no dirty ponds close by, though we do plan to take him to the lake in a week or twos time!
July 26th, 2017
@taffy on second thoughts I could meet up with you in Evanston and we could go shoot the new Kellogg building. Just an idea!

If he could speak right now...suffering sucatash, sassafrassing, no good varmints...hilarious!

@ukandie1 That could work. I'll text once we know what is going on and whether we'll be downtown or Evanston mostly. I'm sure something will work out.
