it's been a tough few years and today I just felt a bit down so I did a couple of pictures to reflect the feelings of loss I am experiencing. First I lost my dad, then my father in law followed by my mother in law and two close friends. I am grateful for the memories and how photography can help express and remind me of my loved ones :)
@emma78 thanks yes it's odd considering I hated taking photographs years ago when I was having children, I am so glad my brother is a photographer and he took enough to have some memories. I have always loved art but now photography has taken first place :)
So sorry to hear you are in a bad place at the moment. Grieving is a process and you never know how long it will take. Eventually you do come to acceptance, but the sadness never leaves does it. Take care xx
@onewing so true, I am still early days accepting the loss of my good friend a few weeks ago - she was one week off seeing her first grandchild! Life can be so hard.
I am so sorry for all your losses. I was feeling that way on Father's Day as well. I tried to read what I posted to my husband and burst into tears. We too lost a friend to brain cancer the end of April. The losses can come rushing back and we miss them so...but need to think of the good times spent with them. Loss is so hard and unfair at times....no one gets out alive.
