tazawako mountains and clouds

"Heaven," in a word. Such a quintessentially "Japanese" feel to the layers and layers of mountains near Lake Tazawa in southern Akita prefecture, which is in the northern Tohoku region.

This is brilliant, Michael. I do wish I were there! The layers and the soft blues work so well. It captures an iconic image from Japan.

FAV -- absolutely gorgeous capture and processing. Your height was a definite advantage in this photo over mine (plus your photography skills!). Mine doesn't show nearly the number of layers on the right side. WAs this the one taken from on top of the roof???
