Nezu Shrine, a gorgeous little gem I'm so glad to have visited at 6:00am due to jet lag. It was so empty I could get this shot of squares and rectangles and the circle of the woven structure used in a purification ceremony around this time in Japan. Worshippers are meant to walk a figure-eight around and through the circle.
LOVE how the weight of the structure is held up by the circle that holds open the space -- I've been studying the concept of 空間and this makes me think about it in a more interesting way. Love your early morning capture! Now do you suppose I will ever be up early enough to replicate this image without people ?

Michael, I like the symmetry from the image structure, and the peaceful feeling of seeing a temple at dawn with no one else around. Hope you are enjoying your trip there!
