The street's of Sydney in winter can be a harsh and cruel place. The Homeless are at risk of bacterial infection, pneumonia, beatings and consent abuses.
Never be afraid to give money or a warm blanket to someone in need...or if you have a local homeless shelter in your area..please give food, money or clothing to people who are less fortunate than our selves...you never know when we may need the same helping hand. Thank you to everyone who reads and look's at this photo.
@rachelmackenzie Thank you Rachel. I wish I could tell his story with words...but I'm no wordsmith....only with this photo can I send a message for all of us to help when we can. :)
Terrific shot Joanne. I've been thinking about the subject too in the past few days. Winter has arrived early in Melbourne and it has been cold, wet and windy here for the past few days. It would be so tough to be living on the street right now and with months more ahead. Thanks for reminding everyone.
I like this. He's homeless but he seems to be sharing his food with the pigeons. Agree with what you say and not only homeless people, but homeless animals too.
This is such a stunning photo Joanne - it doesn't need any words as it tells it own story. Such a timely reminder as well - coming into winter. I will have to fav this one.
Well done and yes this is an important issue. I dropped in on a homeless guy near here last night because it's just starting to get really cold, had a bit of a chat and bought him something he asked for. It's so hard to imagine sleeping outside in the winter!
very powerful and poignant photo Joanne. Really makes us all stop and think for a moment. We all complain from time to time but most of our issues are so irrelevant compared to what homeless people go through.
@veg66 I don't think you need to put any words with this photo, your beautiful photo says more than words ever could. Again thanks so much for sharing this. Xx
love the processing, but more than that, the history behind it.
