It's 1940...and my Grandfather was trying to think of a way to propose to my Grandmother...he know her favourite book is "Alice In Wonderland"...so what better way to catch her by surprise, than to place the ring in between the binding of the book...he then handed her the book "Lillian please read a little of Alice in Wonderland to me"...so she opened the book to find the engagement ring inside...I'm happy to say she said yes. The ring you see here is the same one my Grandfather gave my Grandmother...the old book...the very same one this ring was placed in on that day in 1940.
@skipt07 55 years together. My grandfather passed way first...that was 20 years ago...then 13 years ago..my grandmother passed. I have some of the best story's from them both.
