Waiting for a friend

Taken at a cafe this morning while I was waiting. I liked the reflections in the glass-top table. And I liked my coffee.
As always, I very much appreciate any kind of input, critique, feedback and reactions. Thank you very much!
Fantastic shot! The composition is great and b&w was a good choice!

Nice composition.

This is really nice. Not only the nice contrasts in the cu p and saucer, but the geometric reflection. A cool pic overall. Fav

Super capture, reflections, composition

Вера, стоило бы возможно высветлить левую часть снимка. Чашка сама по себе тяжелая и перевешивает, плюс темный ЛНУ - снимок валится налево.

Beautifully composed and yes those reflections are wonderful. Love the foam on your coffee.

Great composition! The shop could use that on their wall!

@roulin Спасибо - про ЛНУ я не подумала - оставила как было. Только попыталась вытянуть немного отражение. Но только пока все получается только "на ощупь" - путем экспериментирования.

Many many thanks for all your comments - as I mentioned somewhere else - it is so motivational to read them, and it really makes me want to keep my eyes open for more :) Thank you!

Dianna, that's such a nice thing to say - thanks!

Gena - that foam is usually the prize that everyone wants to get, including my kids AND my cat. It's a really milk-y coffee with the milk foam on top (I guess, it would be like a Latte?) and there is just something of scooping the whole spoon of it and enjoying the bubbles bursting in your mouth :)

Virginia - I also liked how the shapes juxtaposed each other - the ones in the cup versus the ones in the reflections. Thanks!

Thank you all so much!

I like the composition very much. The reflection is interesting but confusing at first, I wonder if more context of table might have helped? (for an alternate image but keep this one) It reminded me instantly of having tea waiting for Taffy once: http://365project.org/jyokota/365/2015-03-13

Oh I remember your tea image! @jyokota Very atmospheric photo. I very much enjoyed it. Thank you for your comment - I actually tried to do more table "context" around the reflection, but ended up not liking it - the glass part was inserted into a very dark wooden frame and it came out very dark and "heavy" in the photo, which was already kind of "full" of lines and shapes in my opinion. I am glad my friend was a little late, so that I can experiment with taking pictures :) I got a couple of strange looks from the staff though! :)

@vera365 -- I can see what you mean about a dark wooden frame distracting from your composition. As I look at the image again, I like that it confused me a bit at the beginning -- nice to leave your viewers wondering, right? Isn't it funny how we get strange looks from people when we are perfectly comfortable doing our photography?
