Just when you think you have to photograph your cat (again), the family decides to go to a beer garden for dinner, so you drive through the town, and voila - the pic of the day. This snake is in the middle of Ludwigsburg, hanging over the major intersection. I liked how it looked against the evening sky, but I liked experimenting with sepia tones here even better. Quite unusual, but there we have it. Not surprisingly, I like it more on black.

Maggiemae - the snake is a statue that was given to the city some years ago, and since then it is hanging over the downtown. It is very realistic, and a bit strange that it is overlooking the town, but - as it turns out - is a great photo opportunity. Thank you so much for commenting and fav-ing!

Judith @judithaltmann and @lxxx - I knew we would be driving by it, and I was ready before we were at the "shooting" distance. Too bad we had a green light and didn't stop at all - I was worried my shots would be not sharp enough from the moving car. But ... that seemed to turn out OK.

@kimdavis@shirleybankfarm Thank you, Kim and Shirley. Shirley - I used to be taken aback by the snake once we moved into the city, but by now It just became part of it, and when my kids ask about how to get to a certain place, the answer is often - go to the snake, then turn left .... :)
