A very much a cliché image of a cliché Bavarian village, but hey, we ARE in a cliché-kind-of Bavarian village, so here it is. Sun is shining and I am struggling with blown-out skies in all photos: hazy and overexposed mountain tops, skies and background thanks to the deep shadows somewhere else in the picture... Is there a cure except for doing HDR?

Thank you all so much for liking and commenting on the postcard-perfect Bavarian village. For now, we've been here for five days, and no matter where we hike and from what direction we approach the village, it is still as picturesque as ever. I sometimes even have a hard time convincing myself this mountain-cow-woods-fields-creek-filled world is real.
@lxxx Thank you for your comment! We usually live near Stuttgart (well, while in Germany), but now we are on vacation in Bavaria for a week, hence all that mountainous beauty.
Postcard is right! Love the rich green path leading through the fields of yellow, drawing the eye to the church. The contrast of light and shadow are wonderful! FAV!
