I needed to go to Frankfurt to take care of some formalities, and that was the scene in the lobby of one of the office buildings.
Thank you very much for your visits, comments and critique!
Adore it very very very much. ( I adore it even more though when scrolled down and the line of lights at the top are blocked out) Then I'd fav it twice! What an eye to see this and compose it so well.
I really like the way the lamp and its reflection frame the shot. And the monochrome feel of the image broken up by the two red armchairs. Were they actually red? Or did you change their colour to create this amazing shot?
Oh my goodness! I didn't expect so many comments on this one, and such great ones too! I was passing through this lobby on the way to my appointment and told myself I will take a picture on the way back when I have more time. An on the way back, I got an added bonus of a guy sitting there looking at this cellphone.
Thank you all so much for stopping by and leaving a comment of fav-ing the picture!
@whimsicalgrateful The chairs were red to begin with - and the whole scene was almost monochrome, with some brown hues in the floor, wich I didn't like that much, so I muted the colors in everything except the reds (for which the post-processing program automatically selected the light inside the lamps as well). I kind of liked it this way.
@newbank Your comment made me think - I included the lamps because they were so symmetrical and regular on the top, and because they also show up in the reflection, but it really does make it "cleaner" when you don't have them.... Thanks for noticing them. I am torn now myself, which version I like more! :)
