Start of the Winter break for the older one - so we ended up having lunch at home on a very sunny day. Instead of eating, I had to grab my camera. Not surprisingly, it looks better on black to me.

I am glad it turned out the way it did! @maggiemae - He was sitting next to the window, and had a very bright rim-lit line on his face. I exposed just for the light part, which made the overall picture very dark, but I also darkened it more in post-processing.

I love the rim light! It reminds me of the old technique of cutting portraits out of black paper and all you could see was the silhouette of a person. ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scherenschnitte)
