Today was the last day of the Chrysler Museum as we know it. Why? Apparently the company needs more office space. Solution? Go ahead and close the museum showcasing the history of the car manufacturing and the highlights of the Chrysler cars. ... Sorry, but for me "needing more office space" does not even come close in a competition with preserving and showcasing the history of the own company/brand and making new generations excited about the rich automotive history.
Sad. The Museum was open today for the last day for public and will be "dismantled" right after it closes it doors. That is, by the time I am posting, this reality is not there anymore.
Love the shot. Nice touch to have the leading lines dissolve into empty white. An intentional symbolic comment on the end of the museum?
Since WW2, Chrysler lurched from one crisis to another, much of it caused by their own management. FIAT now owns what remained of Chrysler after it climbed out of bankruptcy in 2011.
