The big kiddo had his "Winter Survival" day at school, where all 5th-graders spent a day not in the classroom, but in the snow-covered woods: building their own fires, using them for cooking their own lunches (his group agreed on hot dog kebabs, burgers and a melted chocolate for dessert - take that as "survival"!) and learning about surviving outside. Everyone came back super happy, but also exhausted after a day in the snowy woods.
