Die Feuerzangenbowle - the fiery drink (in all senses) you can get at the Christmas market. Usually prepared in a larger container with a large sugar head soaked in rum and then put on fire. But this vendor figured out a way to light a little rummy piece of sugar for each individually served drink. All that melted goodness then just drips right into your cup.

@summerfield Ohhhhh no! Hot spiced wine, and then "spiked" with hot burning rum. But.... if you are into chocolaty, you can get "spiked" (or not) hot chocolates at any corner - you have to keep warm somehow! :)
At first glance, I thought they were egg cups, which I collect, but now that I read your narrative I want to try one, too! I was at Munich airport three times this month and the Christmasmarket right at the airport didn't have theses . . .
