Leather Leaf Mahonia (Barberry)

I posted flowers from this bush in February. Now it has the berries. This one seems ripe. I understand they are rich in vitamin C but have a sharp taste. I'm not sure I want to try one. I didn't notice the little spider until I looked at this on the conputer.
