redbud

I'm amazed that redbud flowers form not only on the tiny branches but also directly from the large limbs and even from the trunk of the tree. Most of the flower that were covering the tree earlier have fallen off as it as started to leaf out. The rain and wind didn't help. My drivewas is pink with fallen blooms.

I never see or heard from Redbud trees so I have to Google it. Now I know it is a Cercis but also that tree was unknow by me. Thanks for the ( beautiful ) pic and explanation . I gona try to find one here ( in a botanic garden )
