Kudzu by vernabeth

Kudzu

Kudzu was introduced to the US from Japan in the late 1800's. It grows about a foot a day in the Southeastern US. It was an effective erosion control, but it is invasive and can kill forest by not allowing light to get to the trees. Some love it: some hate it, but it is easier to live with it than to get rid of it.
That is amazing

Often, and a lot, happen all over the world. We call this : ``Nature forgery.`` With plants, with animals. In our country too.

It is beautiful - but so damaging in the way it takes over. Made a great shot though.

Looks just as you describe it, a smothering green blanket.
