The summer is racing away!!!
Here in Oregon, we mostly have slugs...now and then we see a snail, but they are not nearly as common as a snail. Something about that cute little shell on their backs that makes them picturesque.
Fantastic capture and composition, Vicki! Love your title and narrative! I have yet to see a snail where I live in South Carolina. I think it's too hot for them.
@marlboromaam well, both snails and slugs are so destructive in the yard...I have to put slug bait out constantly to protect the flowers and veggies. I am sure you have other pests, but these are what we have to deal with here...
Great capture - clever little things carting their home on their back. We are continually having to bait them, too. After rain they are in their thousands.
Yuk, we hate snails down here in Cali!! I put out a pie plate with beer in it to drown them. They are pests in our gardens and can decimate your crops or plants! But....that said, nice capture of this little pest!!
