Last March I posted a photo of our state flower, the Oregon Grape. Here is what it looks like now. The grapes are not really like grapes, they don't taste very good, but you can make jelly from them if you add a ton of sugar. I have not done it. The plant is more for yards, and it seems to me it is more similir to holly than grapes by it foliage.
For the shot I posted of it blooming..and the State Flower... I posted it March 27 if you really want to see it and the link does not work
Amazing to go back and look at the "blooming!" What a difference ... so beautiful in both photos. I agree with you, it does remind one of holly .. especially the leaves.
they don't taste good? They look like concord grapes which is what we have and those are delicious (well especially the juice in the skins, but I don't actually chew the grape, because it's sour.) These look really pretty!! nice shot
Great color's Vicki!! i was going to say grape juice but you would need a really lot of sugar for that...i guess they are kind of biitter? ..love the shapes , and contrast of the colors..Great shot!
