Three hummingbirds have decided that they each have the right to the feeder. I have been watching for a few days now as they fight it out over it. They are there even in the pouring rain. As soon as one comes flying in for a sip, the one sitting guard shoots up to attack...then whoever wins takes a seat on the branch and waits it out until another flies in. I took so many photos and it appears that there are three different ones at war. I have three feeders out there...I think I need to spread them out a little further.
Sorry that I have been lax in my commenting, I am making the most of my precious time with my kids while they are home...I will make sure and catch up as soon as I can.
Fave!!!! this is so exciting, wow! I saw one this morning, I don't have a feeder for them, and the red salvia has finally stopped blooming. It was flitting around the suet feeder. But I didn't have my camera, nor was I this close. LOVE THIS!

Wonderful capture - great to spend time with the kids ...l spent a day with mine today as well....we had a lovely day, shopping, morning tea with their Nan, movies then lunch!!
