Florence is know for the Sand Dunes...that is the main reason I wanted to begin our trip there. Well, we drove all around and I could not find them. We asked in town where to go, but we could just not find them. I found dunes, but not the ones I had seen photos of...the ones I found had sea grass growing on them. I hiked all over, drove all over, but somehow missed them. The day after we got home, a photographer friend of mine posted exactly the elusive dunes I had been searching for. Oh well, I took this pond shot while on our search and was happy with it instead. I am just happy that Florence is not far from me and I will return to my search another day.
