A first for me to see one of these in the wild.
So, the doctor said that it would be OK for us to keep our plans of going to California to see our grandson. We are here right now. Today we took him for a ride and I spotted this roadrunner on the road. Sure made me wish I was up and running, but at least I am not just sitting at home.
Oh that is such a great shot. I have seen them in Arizona but never able to get such a good shot. A first i thought you saw him in Oregon and was surprised. Enjoy you family and hope you heal quickly.
They look funny running along don't they & a great name , there are tyres called after these birds over here! You just take it easy & don't be running like this young man!!

@ellimae I was hiking with my husband and slipped and broke my ankle. Thought it was only a sprain and managed to get back down from our hike with my husband's help...almost 2 miles!! Had to have surgery a week later once the swelling went down a bit. I am finally half way done with the whole process...it looks like only about 4 more weeks in the 'boot'
