The dragonfly and it's colors are very beautiful. I just think you need to remove some brightness from the leave where the dragonfly is holding from. Very nice shot.

Wow, thank you all for the comments and FAVs... I'm so touched! @blaithin86 Thanks Monnie! My camera not strictly speaking a "point and shoot". It's an advanced bridge camera - as near as you can get to a dslr without actually being one. It's completely manual in everything - even has manual zoom, manual focus rings and all.
I don't mind telling you that my basic Dslr camera would NOT get a shot as good, detailed and clear as this, not without a very expensive lens. Brilliant shot, love it heaps and a Fave:)
@veekay Thanks so much Vicki. To tell you the truth I've been wondering whether I should buy myself a DSLR, but I couldn't afford more than an entry level one. Perhaps I'm better off with my advanced zoom... any advice for this newbie? :) I do love my camera, but was wondering if it was holding me back.
Wow! The colo on this is great! I don't think we have these here. just talked about dragonflies on my post for yesterday ...I had a p and s only at the start of the project but your p and s is much better and nicer so it seems to be taking excellent pics to me! Mine is just an old fit in your purse power shot. Fav on this gorgeous pic!
@hollandcrew Thank you so much! @espyetta Thank you! My camera isn't exactly a P & S - it's almost the same size as a SLR and is quite advanced, but still it's NOT a DSLR!
@victorypuzzle Yeah, I know. I followed the link where it lists your camera that took the pic and saw it! It is NICE! I just meant that it is not a DSLR...but those big cameras like yours (I think some people still call theirs a p and s since it is not DSLR) are amazing! I have seen some of the most awesome pics from them! Yours included! Congrats on the PP! and that great shot! I know you were so excited to get it!
Excellent! I found one of these dragons right at the end of our season last year (in my first album). It was huge compared to the other dragonflies in my area. I've never seen such amazing colours on one before. Great you also found one. :)
