Awesome!!! Love his eyes. Did u have to use a tripod? Was actually planning to get that same lense today during our "black friday" sale day in the u.s. wondering if i'll need a trip
@butrfli I did not use a tripod, but focusing is not very easy due to the extreme magnification. That said, with some practise you do get it right. I have read reviews on this lens that say you cannot shoot without a tripod and that I strongly disagree with. I shot this within a few hours of owning the lens, no tripod and very little practise.
Nice demonstration of your new lens, and you have the whole interest in very tight focus. I am searching for a similar for Nikkor. Looking at the Micro Nikkor 40 mm f/2.8 G Lens. I don't have a full frame sensor. But I would have if I had know then what I know now before I bought my camera! :)
I found this on a discussion about Canon 100 mm macro lens...USM, IS, etc.. I am about to buy one..finally. I think. But I came here to see this pic you posted on that thread. WOW! A Canon 100 mm USM was used on this? This is like a microscope took it! Fav
@espyetta Yes, this was one of the first photos I ever took with my 100mm macro lens. It is a suberp lens and I have never regretting buying it - you will love it!
Btw, mine is not the IS version, that was too expensive for me. I don't find I need IS though.
@espyetta I don't find I miss the IS at all, but if you can afford it I am sure it would be great to have. I found the price difference huge for just IS personaly.
