Essence of Hyacinth... by vignouse

Essence of Hyacinth...

..I've gone all philosophical today: I wanted to capture what, for me, makes a Hyacinth a Hyacinth - the colours, of course, but also the the little bell-shaped florets and the way they combine to make the overall shape of the flower-head.

Viewing large on black is rewarding, I think...
Absolutely gorgeous colour and detail, I can almost smell this and it makes me realise I simply MUST get myself a proper macro lens!

@judithdeacon @anazad511 Thank you ladies - very much appreciated. For Judith: taken with a Sigma 105mm F2'8 macro lens and a (cheap) ring-flash to provide the even lighting.

Just lovely intense colors. Getting lots of ideas for my time in the spring sun. Hope I can do the flowers 1/10th the justice that you have.

I've never looked at one from the top before. I wouldn't have know it was a hyacinth.
