Get Pushed 92 - Archi-texture

My Get Pushed partner for this week - Gail Meek @gailmmeek - sent me the following message: "Hi Richard, thanks for asking me to partner for this week's get-pushed. I've really enjoyed browsing your albums. How about trying some textures and architecture this week for get - pushed?"

This is the west and main entrance to Paimpont Abbey taken late this evening just before the lighting went off and plunged the whole scene into impenetrable darkness!
Great tones and textures and beautiful lighting.

@gailmmeek Hi Gail - is this the sort of thing you had in mind? The textures are inherent in the shot as I normally only edit in Lightroom which doesn't have a layers facility. No promises... but I'll see what I can do before the week is out.

Well done. Challenge completed I'd say!

Your images are so crisp - love the stonework and lighting.

Gosh, those 2 small white arches looked like people when I first looked. Wonderful shadows and textures.

Gorgeous capture!

@dibzgreasley Thanks Debs - the arched doorways are bigger than you might think: each archway has double doors with an overall width of just over 2 metres and a height of almost 3 metres. The feet of the statue are at headheight for me and I'm tall.

Perfect! And so very beautiful. Thanks for taking up the challenge.

Very cool, initially the doors looked like ghostly people or maybe it is just my imagination, either way, great shot

Great black and white. Its something out of a 1940s monster movie...excellent choice to process so inky. I love it!
