I'm still having this love affair with trees and reflections, either on their own or together as in this image. I like the way the wind disturbed the surface of this small pond, distorting the reality of the reflections and reality has been further stretched by turning the image upside-down.
Rotating it was brilliant, Richard. It really was disorienting, as I was at first seeing it as trees on a steeply eroded bank. Of course, then the presence of vegetation at the top kind of ruins that theory, but I couldn't see it as a small enough pond to include the two edges until I saved it to my desktop and flipped it. (easier than standing on my head!) Ah! Now I can see it. I really love the way it looks. The distortion is great contrasted with the non-distorted grasses at top.
@whimsicalgrateful It's a small round pond; the trees were on the opposite side to where I was standing and what you are seeing is simply the shape of the pond. Remember that I flipped this image in processing so if you look at it the other way up you will see what I am saying.
@miata2u Hi Peggy, thanks for your visits and comments. You say you're fairly new but in fact, you started a month before me! Most of my processing is done in LIghtroom 5.7 and that's where I create the general feel of the image. I do use PS but mainly for detailed work like removing unwanted things which spoil the image, as the image manipulation tools are much more powerful than those in LR. I don't actually do that much processing for the majority of my images: levels adjustments and mid-range structure adjustments mainly plus the graduated and spot filter tools.
