Had to fav! Was my Dad's favorite...well, it had to be Crown Royal and he loved his Crown at 5 o'clock. Thanks for making me smile, Richard. Lovely shot, lighting, love the crystal glass and the dark background.
I see you did spring for a D750. I trust you are finding it as great as I did when I rented it some time ago.
Still a few things that niggle at me though, so I haven't sprung the cash for it. I'm looking for the 760 next year perhaps? Or the 820 with the new back-wired sensor from Sony and the 750's AF, with a few additions that the D750 sadly omitted (more focus points and all cross type please).
Or maybe the new Sony A7R II when available in August, but that it a huge investment with new lenses too. And even there, a few niggly things that I wouldn't pay $3,000 for.
Perhaps a D7300 with the refinements the D7200 left out. And if a 40mp sensor, back-wired, yes, that would probably be it.
@jack4john Here's right back at you... in Manx - "Slaynt as shee as eash dy vea, as maynrys son dy bra!" ("Health and peace and length of life and happiness forever!") Mrs S is Manx.
@rleidner Monkey Shoulder - it's not an exotic whisky but it is a slightly unusual one being a blend of three malts: Kininvie, Balvenie and Glenfiddich. It refers to the repetitive strain injury which many workers in the maltings suffered from as a result of continually turning the barley. Your good health Sir!!
@frankhymus Ah, decisions, decisions Frank! Cameras are a bit like computers these days (and for the same reasons - advances in electronics) as soon as you buy one it's obsolete!
I've had it about a month now; it's a logical stable mate for the D600 and the D610, each one fitted wifh its own f/2.8 zoom: 16-28mm, 24-70mm and 70-200mm. The D7100 normally wears the 105mm macro lens.
I'm quite happy with it I think: it's the one fitted with the 24-70mm, so the one that gets the most use.
Reminds me of the scenes in Lost in Translation where Bill Murray is making the whiskey commercials in Japan. Brilliant shot, could easily be used by a whiskey manufacturer as a commercial. FAV

Oh well, I'm never happy.
