Being in a dairy farming area, we are surrounded by fields of wheat and maize which are grown for cattle feed although, of course, the actual crop in any given field is subject to crop rotation from year to year.
I have tried lots of times this year to capture the feel of the maize fields and have come to the conclusion that colour is too 'literal' so I offer today this black and white study of maize cattle feed ready for harvesting.
Amazing how different this looks when viewed on black...
Wow! On black really makes it sing and for me the stalks take on the appearance of a choir, clothed in black and white for The Messiah! Want to give it more than 1 fav.
@joansmor It only took about 25 minutes to harvest 5 acres or so, so I missed the opportunity, but I've got some shots from last year that I'm happy with.
