A small square in Ploërmel behind the college about 30 seconds after school let out - 2 minutes later it was heaving with young people but I liked it best like this.
Interestingly enough, this feels like SC, but I think it's because of all the grey in the buildings and the pavement....very cool capture and balancing of the starkness of the stones against the warmth of the trees!
I like the "almost" quality to this -- perhaps influenced by imagining the young people from the text, but I think also in the picture with the empty benches and steps that could be covered with people... and the sky that could pour down. I had sort of hoped that the lady in the center was ancient!, but we take whoever is there.
The (40?) shades of grey make this wonderfully atmospheric, whilst by comparison, the green trees almost seem superimposed from a Summer's day...and out on a limb, the green/ish tree suggests Autumn is the reality. Great capture!
