May 1st...

...all French people will know why this is entitled 'May 1st' - it's traditional on this day to exchange a small bunch of 'Muguet' - Lily of the Valley to bring good fortune and happiness for the year. I was presented with this at my favourite watering hole this morning when I popped in for a coffee and I thought it would make a good subject for my occasional 'on the kitchen counter' series.
