Hare Today by vignouse

Hare Today

This magnificent hand-crafted pottery hare sits on the mantelpiece of the stone fire place in our friends' home in the Charente Maritime Départment of France. He is actually hare coloured but I liked this best in B&W
What a wonderful piece - I love the pose, the fabulous long ears and the eye.

Does belong in B&W and that eye and angle is powerful.

What did you use for light. There are no shadows, very flat light, several light sources?
Well done!

Almost jumps off the page -- wonderful capture/still life.
PS -- I photographed a quilter and was inspired by your image of Mrs. S. I've added that to the narrative and apologize for not doing so earlier.

B&W sure shows the textures. This piece really has a sense of movement in it.

Remarkable representation of a splendid animal. Just look at those paws and legs. Their power has been well caught.
