...to completing the walk around the perimeter of Paimpont Lake thanks to the skill and industry of the Department planners. This section is on the western side of the lake where the ground is particularly boggy - unstable trees fall down and walkers sink into the mud... or they would do if this walkway wasn't there.
VML the POV and particulary the various 'verticals', crowned with the diagonal pathways. A salutary exercise (for me) in how to approach a shot when my equipment and expertise don't match yours ;-)
Depth in the woods... another speciality of yours. Nicely rendered. Good that the place (and the user) is well looked after... wonder if there are wilder areas nearby as well?
@dide Thanks Dianne - signs at each end of this more rugged part of the circular walk make it clear who it is suitable for and who it isn't. Pushchairs are specifically mentioned but that doesn't seem to stop folk - indeed I saw three yesterday!
@yrhenwr Thanks David! Paimpont forest covers 20,000 acres and strays over into neighbouring communes which makes the total forested area even larger. The forest is very dense in places and has a large population of wild-boar and deer as well as a fair complement of rabbits, foxes, badgers, red squirrels, etc. So yes, apart from the marges where it touches 'civilisation', it is fairly wild.
@gamelee@ukandie1@lyndemc@randystreat@dide There's another, much bigger, fallen tree integrated into this pathway but it doesn't have this nice twisty walkway to act as a leading line, so I chose this one as being the more photogenic of the two.
