NF-SOOC-2017 Day 17: Coatigrac'h Lock and Weir

This is lock no. 235 on the Nantes-Brest canal at Châteaulin - this is one of my favourites because of the roofless building you can see by the weir, It was erected in 1887 to house a generator to produce hydroelectricity to power street lights in nearby Châteaulin: this made little rural Châteaulin only the second town in France to be thus lit. Over 10 km of streets lit by 300 lamps plus another 35 in public buildings... and it was in service until 1948.

This is Day 17 of my annual NF-Sooc-September challenge: a month of sooc pictures taken with a 50mm lens or its equivalent for crop-sensor cameras. You can read all about it here - https://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/30294/nf-sooc-september-2017

Best on black... of course.
Lovely

I'm fascinated about the places you have around your home. Also about the great amount of details and tones that your X-T2 can handle as SOOC without the use of bw filters.

A scene of instant drama, a favourite walk to which you have rendered poetic justice.
