One Week Only - Saturday: Close up Architecture 1

This is for Vikki's @summerfield One Week Challenge - the Saturday theme is Close up Architecture which I've chosen to interpret as architectural detail. This is the main entrance hallway to Paimpont Abbey Church - the hanging rod is known as a Sergent and is used to secure the entrance doors from the inside.
Like the soft tones of the box against the grey walls.

This is very soft and at the same time slightly disturbing... like there's a threaten implied. Love it!

Interesting textures. The 'Sergent' looks like it hasn't been scraping the wall for long, so appears to be a newer addition 🙂

the inclusion of the rod made the shot more interesting, in that the viewer might not know what it is and even what for, and so glad that you included that in your blurb. aces!
